Budget acheives many of the House Democrats goals

Rep. Tony Payton, D-Philadelphia, said that a tentative budget agreement was reached with legislative leaders and the governor on Monday night, ending the one-day furlough of nearly 25,000 state employees and achieving many of the items that House Democrats were fighting for, such as major progress on transportation, health care, education and energy independence.
